The Perfect Detox

Having tried several different detoxes, I would recommend this detox time and time again. This two-step detox nourishes the cells and stimulates the liver to remove waste.


The origin of all chronic diseases are deficiency, and toxicity. We become deficient when we consume foods that are: processed, depleted, emulsified, cooked, fried, and preserved. They contain no enzymes and few vitamins and minerals.


The toxins in our bodies have accumulated from years of wrong eating, drugs (prescribed and otherwise), what we put on our skin, and the air we breathe. To address deficiency and toxicity, I recommend what I call, The Perfect Detox. The first part of the detoxification process is juicing. Juices will flood the body’s cells with enzymes, vitamins, and minerals- essentially evicting the toxins from the cells and replacing them with nutrients. Once the toxins have been pushed out of the cell and into the bloodstream, the liver kicks into overdrive. To assist with this heavy toxic load, I recommend a coffee enema, the second part of the detoxification process. The caffeine in the coffee enema travels to the liver, opens the bile ducts, and allows the liver to release accumulated toxins. Eliminating waste from the body is equally as important as nourishing the cells.


The best detoxifying juices are green juices. An excellent combination for your green juice is organic romaine lettuce, organic red leaf lettuce, organic Swiss chard, organic watercress, organic red cabbage, organic endives, organic escarole, green bell pepper, and organic Granny Smith apple. Drink the juice immediately after making it because the enzymes will quickly die. If you can’t find all the items listed, don’t substitute with other greens- use what you can find.


GREEN JUICE RECIPE

Ingredients for 8 -10oz Green Juice:

  • 6-7 large leaves of romaine

  • 3-4 leaves of watercress

  • 3-4 leaves of red cabbage

  • Red leaf lettuce

  • 2-3 leaves of escarole

  • 2-3 leave of endive

  • 2-3 young inner beet tops (inner leaves)

  • 2 leaves of Swiss chard

  • A quarter of a green bell pepper

  • 1 medium green apple, Granny Smith

CARROT/APPLE JUICE

Ingredients for 8-10oz Carrot/Apple Juice:

  • 3-4 organic carrots

  • 1 large green apple, Granny Smith

CARROT JUICE

Ingredients for 8-10 oz

  • 5-6 organic carrots


I typically use one day to detoxify. I will consume several green juices, carrot/apple juice and plain carrots juice. The results are phenomenal.
